SACHIN TENDULKAR yesterday became the first man to score a one-day international DOUBLE ton. The little master from Mumbai smashed 200 not out in Gwalior against South Africa. And he is now closing in on an even more remarkable milestone — 100 centuries for India. Tendulkar, 36, overhauled the previous record of 194, held jointly by Pakistan’s Saeed Anwar and Charles Coventry of Zimbabwe. He faced 147 balls and hit three sixes and 25 fours and has now made 46 one-day centuries to go with 47 in Tests and needs just seven more to complete a hundred hundreds.
