The BCCI has come out in support of the senior Indian batsmen. Board Secretary Sanjay Jagdale has backed the Big 3 of Indian batting Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman and Sachin Tendulkar under fire after a string of poor performances in the series against Australia. But the Board is standing by the trio and does not want to push the seniors into retirement. The BCCI Secretary claimed that the big three were under no pressure to quit and that they know when the right time to go is. India struggling to save Sydney Test

At Sydney ground Aussies put pressure on guests and India lost two wickets at the end of the day 3. Rahul Dravid was the last wicket to fall for India. The Wall was once again bowled through the gate for 29. This is the 3rd time in the series Dravid has been bowled. Virender Sehwag was earlier out for 5. Gambhir finally found some form as he completed his half century. He finished the day unbeaten on 68. Tendulkar has given him company on 29 not out. But the star of the day was Michael Clarke. The Aussie skipper smashed his maiden triple hundred. Clarke reached the landmark just after lunch, becoming the 21st batsman in Test history to reach the landmark. Michael Hussey also got a 100 and Australia eventually declared at 659 for four.
