Shahid Afridi has been fined rupees 4.5 million ($52300)

PCB restores Afridi’s NOC Shahid Afridi has been fined rupees 4.5 million (300) by the PCB for violating the board’s code of conduct but has been given his no-objection certificate, clearing his participation in domestic Twenty20 tournaments around the world. Afridi pleaded guilty to the charge and accepted the verdict of the disciplinary committee but he did not apologise during the hearing in Lahore. “I did not apologise for what I said,” Afridi told ESPNcricinfo. “I did regret the situation and accepted my violations but I have not apologised.” Afridi also said that he will remain retired. “I am still not willing to play international cricket under this administration. That stance remains as before.” “The committee unanimously decided to fine him 4.5 million rupees (000) for various breaches of the code of conduct,” PCB’s legal adviser Taffazul Rizvi said. “The committee also recommended his NOCs to play abroad be restored, which the Pakistan Cricket Board has endorsed.” Afridi will now be able to play for Hampshire for the remainder of the Friends Life t20 in England. This latest development brings to an end, for now at least, a feud that began during Pakistan’s tour of the West Indies. During the one-day series in the Caribbean, Afridi had a falling out with the coach Waqar Younis and he made his feelings public on his return to Pakistan. The PCB responded by stripping Afridi of the ODI captaincy after which the allrounder pulled out of the trip to Ireland and

Australia Successfully Chase down 300 runs for victory, to go up 5-0 against England. [--Ricky Ponting's Biography--] Ricky Thomas Ponting (born 19 December 1974), nicknamed Punter, was the captain of the Australian cricket team between 2004 and 2011 in Test cricket and 2002 and 2011 in One Day International cricket. He is a specialist right-handed batsman, slips and close catching fielder, as well as a very occasional bowler. He is regarded as one of Australia’s finest cricketers in the modern era. He represents the Tasmanian Tigers in Australian domestic cricket and played in the Indian Premier League with the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2008. Ponting made his first-class debut for Tasmania in November 1992, when just 17 years and 337 days old, becoming the youngest Tasmanian to play in a Sheffield Shield match. However, he had to wait until 1995 before making his One Day International (ODI) debut, during a quadrangular tournament in New Zealand in a match against South Africa. His Test debut followed shortly after, when selected for the first Test of the 1995 home series against Sri Lanka in Perth, in which he scored 96. He lost his place in the national team several times in the period before early-1999, due to lack of form and discipline, before becoming One Day International captain in early-2002 and Test captain in early-2004. After being involved in 151 Tests and 352 ODIs, Ponting is Australia’s leading run-scorer in Test and ODI cricket, with more than 25000
